Diffuse anoxic injury and cerebral edema

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate diffuse T2 FLAIR hyperintensity of cortex and deep gray nuclei, with diffuse sulcal effacement. Complex diffusion signal is evident with relative hyperintensity of cortex on diffusion weighted imaging and decreased signal within the white matter on the ADC map. Additional images demonstrate reduced or absent intracranial flow voids with abnormal signal in the dural sinuses.
