Occult encephalocele, left temporal lobe

Findings:

CT images demonstrate a moderate defect in the lateral wall of the left sphenoid sinus with opacification of the left sphenoid sinus. The MRI images demonstrate medial displacement of the left medial temporal lobe into the sphenoid sinus with associated CSF signal opacifying the left sphenoid sinus.
