TMJ disc posterior subluxation

Findings:

MR imaging of the temporomandibular joints demonstrates a bandlike hypointense structure along the posterior margin of the right mandibular condyle, which is not seen on the left side. The left articular disc is in normal position, with the posterior band near the 12 o’clock position of the condyle.
