Chiari 1 Malformation with Syrinx

Findings:

MR images of the cervical spine demonstrate a complex multiseptated syrinx involving the cervical cord. The cerebellar tonsils have significant extent below the plane of foramen magnum and are pointed and deformed. A horizontal clivus is noted with mild basilar invagination of the odontoid process.
