Discitis Osteomyelitis Cervical

Findings:

Multiple MR images demonstrate irregular destruction of the C5-6 disk space with abnormal enhancing process dorsally and ventrally. There is extensive destruction of C5 and C6 with kyphosis. Abnormal enhancement in the epidural space, as well as the retropulsion of C5, causes significant cord compression. There is abnormal prevertebral edema signal. A few spotty foci of absent enhancement are present within the C5-6 disk space and ventrally as well as minimally dorsally.
