Postop Cerebellar Abscess

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate postoperative findings of right suboccipital craniotomy. A rim enhancing lesion is present in the right cerebellum. There is also a suboccipital fluid collection with irregular peripheral enhancement. There is vasogenic edema and mass effect with distortion of the fourth ventricle. There is a slight gradient echo hypointense rim of this lesion. Contents of the rim enhancing lesion are heterogeneous on T2 FLAIR imaging with some spotty hypointensities. A subtle T1 hyperintense rim is present.
