Thoracic and Lumbar Subdural Hematoma, Postoperative
Findings:
Multiple MRI images demonstrate abnormal T1 and T2 hyperintense fluid surrounding the thoracic cord and the lumbar nerve roots causing displacement of lumbar nerve roots ventrally. The sagittal T2 fat saturated image demonstrates postoperative changes of suboccipital decompression procedure with a fluid collection in the soft tissues. The axial images demonstrate a fluid fluid level within the subdural collection with central displacement nerve roots in the thecal sac. Certain portions of the arachnoid are attached to the dura by denticulate ligaments.
