Dural sinus thrombosis

Findings:

Axial noncontrast CT images demonstrate abnormal hyperdensity diffusely involving the dural sinus system and major cortical veins. This includes the straight sinus vein of Galen region.

The CT venogram images demonstrate essentially occlusive filling defects within the dural sinuses and major cortical veins.

The MR venogram and MRI images demonstrate a pitfall of MRV interpretation with T1 hyperintense thrombus simulating flow on MRV.
