Anoxic Injury, Heroin Toxicity

Findings:

FLAIR and diffusion weighted imaging demonstrates symmetric hyperintensities involving the bilateral cerebellum, putamina, and caudate nuclei, with a separate zone of diffusion restriction in the right occipital lobe. Additional spotty foci of restricted diffusion involve the left frontal cortex. The fourth ventricle is partially effaced but there is no definite hydrocephalus.
