Aneurysmal Bone Cyst
Findings:
Multiple CT and MR images demonstrate vertebra plana appearance of the C-5 vertebral body in a young patient. A heterogeneously enhancing soft tissue mass with subtle fluid fluid levels within complex cystic components involves the C-5 vertebral body and left paravertebral soft tissues encasing and slightly displacing the left vertebral artery without stenosis. Ventral epidural extent of the mass contributes to cord compression and canal narrowing. The retropharyngeal component causes mild anterior displacement of the left hypopharynx.
