Pilocytic Astrocytoma

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate a complex cystic mass within the left occipital lobe, which is associated with two nodular zones of enhancement along the medial aspect. Thin enhancing septations are seen. There is very little surrounding FLAIR signal alteration and very little mass effect for the size of the lesion. No diffusion restriction is seen. Minimal hemorrhagic staining or calcification is present within the dominant mural nodule.
