Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis, Breast cancer primary

Findings:

The initial axial T1 post contrast image demonstrates nearly symmetric abnormal enhancement within both internal auditory canals. Subsequent images demonstrate abnormal leptomeningeal enhancement coating multiple cranial nerves, brainstem, cerebellum, and with spotty foci in the parasagittal frontal lobes. Other foci of abnormal leptomeningeal enhancement are present in the supratentorial compartment. There is prominent abnormal enhancement coating the bilateral fifth cranial nerves. The sagittal MRI image of the thoracic spine demonstrates multiple enhancing lesions involving spinous processes and an upper thoracic vertebra, with abnormal enhancement coating the dorsal aspect of the thoracic spinal cord.
