Embryonal Carcinoma

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate a multilobulated heterogeneously enhancing mass within the quadrigeminal plate cistern inseparable from the region of the pineal gland. The lateral ventricles are dilated due to obstructive hydrocephalus at the level of the tectum. The mass demonstrates heterogeneous but predominately low signal on T1 weighted imaging, intermediate T2 signal, and intermediate diffusion restriction due to a cellular lesion. Uniform periventricular FLAIR signal alteration due to transependymal CSF flow is identified.
