ADEM

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate confluent nearly symmetric signal abnormalities involving the bilateral medial temporal lobes, periatrial regions, and anterior corpus callosum. These signal abnormalities demonstrate confluent peripheral enhancement with the enhancement generally limited to the leading edge of the signal alteration. Intermediate diffusion restriction is seen in the region, with some components of T2 shine through phenomenon within the central aspect of the multiple lesions. No significant mass effect is visible.
