ADEM

Findings:

Multiple MRI images demonstrate nearly symmetric patchy and confluent signal abnormalities involving the bilateral centrum semiovale, corpus callosum splenium, and periatrial white matter. A few small zones of patchy enhancement are present in the left deep parietal white matter. Diffusion restriction is present in the corpus callosum splenium with other areas of signal alteration demonstrating relative T2 shine through phenomenon. Superimposed mild restricted diffusion is seen with in the bilateral centrum semiovale.
