Pituitary Adenoma, Ectopic

Findings:

Multiple CT images demonstrate CSF attenuation within a borderline to mildly enlarged sella. Along the anterior aspect of the sella, there is a multilobulated soft tissue density structure with partial erosion of the sphenoid sinus septum and subtle erosion in the anterior margin of the sella. The MRI images demonstrate heterogeneous low level enhancement of the sphenoid sinus mass, without a direct connection to pituitary tissue. A superimposed postobstructive concretion is present in the left sphenoid sinus demonstrating hypointensity on T2 weighted imaging.
