Hirayama's Disease

Findings:

Sagittal T2 weighted MRI image demonstrates volume loss of the mid cervical cord from C5 through C7. Straightening of the cervical spine is present with no compressive degenerative disc disease identified. The axial T-2 and gradient images demonstrate atrophy and T2 hyperintensity of the left ventral spinal cord.
