Findings:

Axial FLAIR images demonstrate widespread bilateral cortical and subcortical signal abnormalities which are nearly symmetric involving both cerebral hemispheres with slight sparing of the posterior frontal lobes. Additional patchy signal abnormalities involve the bilateral cerebellar white matter. No diffusion restriction is identified, but some of the signal abnormalities are associated with subtle decreased diffusion signal in the subcortical regions. The gradient echo images demonstrate a few tiny foci of hemorrhagic change within the signal abnormalities.
