Findings:
3D TOF MRA shows a large vessel arising from the posterior
aspect of the mid-cavernous carotid artery.
Discussion:
PTA is the most common of the primitive carotid-vertebrobasilar
anastomoses, seen in approximately 0.4% of conventional angiograms.
