Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Findings:
Axial T1, coronal/axial PD, and axial T2WI show symmetric abnormal signal in the globi pallidi.

Differential Diagnosis/Discussion:
History would be helpful to establish a reasonable differential. The symmetric globus pallidus is nearly pathognomonic for carbon monoxide poisoning. Liver disease may cause T1 hyperintensity. Hypoxic injury could have a similar appearance.
