nPurely intradural and round less typical
nUsual diff dx- meningioma, schwannoma, neurofibroma, paraganglioma
nImaging characteristics generally follow aggressive meningioma
nHPC more lobular, malignant mening more frondlike extensions
nLate mets to bone
nMore common- aggressive hypervascular mass with bone destruction
nDdx chordoma, malignant mening, mets(renal, thyroid), aggressive hemangioma, angiosarcoma (very rare in spine)
nPathology- malignant dedifferentiation of pericytes
nDual differentiation into pericytes and meningeal cells reported, very similar pathologically to meningioma
