Otosclerosis with Stapes Prosthesis laterally positioned
Findings:
Demineralizing otospongiotic plaque is seen along the anterior oval window margin. A metallic stapes prosthesis is present with the tip located slightly lateral and posterior to the oval window.
Discussion:
Demineralization along the anterior oval window margin is characteristic for fenestral otosclerosis, with multiple other cases and discussion on this site. A normally positioned metallic stapes prothesis should have the tip centered in the oval window on all reconstructions.
