Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Skull base
Findings:
Multiple MR and CT images demonstrate infiltrative abnormal signal of the central clivus which is poorly defined and overall decreased in T2 signal. The CT demonstrates permeative bone destructon in this regon. The infiltrative lesion demonstrates diffuse low level enhancement on MR.
Differential Diagnosis:
Metastatic disease, squamous cell carcinoma, lymphoma. The signal characteristics would be atypical for the more commonly thought of lesions involving the clivus such as chondrosarcoma and chordoma.
