Cysticercosis

Findings:

Multiple MR images demonstrate a small ring enhancing lesion in the right parietal parasagittal region with peripheral decreased signal on T2 and FLAIR imaging suggestive of a partially calcified lesion. There is minimal surrounding linear flair signal alteration with no evidence of mass affect.

Differential diagnosis:

Cysticercosis, metastasis, septic embolus, cavernoma

Discussion:

Discussion of cysticercosis is found elsewhere on this site.
