Longitudinal Temporal Bone Fracture with Incudomalleal dislocation
Findings:
Thin section temporal bone CT images demonstrate dislocation of the incudomalleal joint with marked widening of the articulation. A longitudinal fracture extends through the right temporal bone with minimal associated mastoid opacification.
Differential Diagnosis:
Trauma would be the most common cause of ossicular dislocation, but in the absence of fracture, barotrauma could cause IM dislocation.
