Anterior Communicating Aneurysm Rupture with Parenchymal Hematoma in Corpus Callosum

Findings:

A large zone of parenchymal hemorrhage dissects into the corpus callosum, associated with intraventricular and diffuse subarachnoid hemorrhage. There is surrounding vasogenic edema, with some areas of grey white differentiation loss. The VRT images fail to demonstrate an aneurysm, but critical data has been clipped out of that image. The coronal MIP image demonstrates a lobulated aneurysm at the anterior communicating region.

Differential Diagnosis:

Ruptured aneurysm considered first due to SAH/IVH, other potential causes of parenchymal hemorrhage include underlying AVM, neoplasm, hypertension, hemorrhagic infarct and many others.
