DNET
Findings:
Multiple MR images demonstrate a multilobulated multiseptated nonenhancing mass in the left occipital lobe. The mass is not associated with surrounding edema. No hemorrhagic change or restricted diffusion is confirmed.
Differential Diagnosis:
The differential diagnosis for this intraaxial mass includes DNET, an unusual zone of cystic encephalomalacia from remote insult, or a hamartoma. While no comparison studies are shown, this lesion has been stable for many years and has not been biopsied. In the absence of surrounding edema, mass effect, or enhancement, more aggressive lesions are considered very unlikely.
